It is a 15 – 20 minute walk, or a five minute taxi ride to Jmna el Fn’a, the large square central to Marrakech, and an easy 10 minutes walk to the ‘souks’.

Riad Merstane is at the end of a cul de sac or ‘derb’ of the same name, ’Merstane’ meaning ‘mad house’ as it stands on the site of an old lunatic asylum. The seclusion and tranquillity of the location is much appreciated by guests after a day spent sight seeing and haggling for bargains in the ‘souks’ or after a long day out in the mountains or on the coast.
